Symptom
Since 2H2024 Release, any changes made to the Termination Date and Supervisor fields in Employee Central should automatically reflect in Offboarding dashboard, even when the offboarding process is already initiated. However, this functionality is not working as expected.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the employee profile of a terminated user (with a future termination date).
- Edit the termination date in Job Information to a different date.
- Go to the Offboarding Dashboard.
- Observe that the old termination date is still displayed.
- Expected behavior would be to see the updated termination date.
Cause
- Go to Manage Business Config > jobInfo.
- See under "onPostSave" rules, there is a rule that Triggers the Termination Event.
- The rule has an IF condition that is not being met by the affected offbordee when changes are made to the termination event in the EC profile.
- This can be cross-checked running rule traces.
Resolution
- Change the rule that Triggers the Termination Event so that the IF conditions are met when there are changes, eg. Termination Date update, in the termination event in the EC profile.
OR
Before updating the Termination Date, make sure that the IF conditions can be met and make the necessary changes. - After one of the above has been done, you can test with a previously affected employee:
- Change the termination date, the rule that triggers termination event works correctly, termination date is updated in the offb dashboard.
