3654668 - Unable to Select a Labour Resource for a Specific Item Under Sales Order

Labour Resource does not appear when clicking in the value help for a Sales Order with service type Time and Material.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Sales Orders work center.
2. Select Sales Orders view.
3. In the drop-down, select All Orders.
4. Search for Sales Order ID ABC (Where ABC represents the Sales Order ID).
5. Click in Edit and View All.
6. Go to Items tab.
7. Select line item XX with type Time and Material (XX represents the line item).
8. Under Service section, click in the value help.
9. Labour Resource XYZ does not appear (XYZ represents the Labour Resource ID).

The Labour Resource XYZ has a validity period set as e.g 01.09.2025, which can be visible by following the below steps:

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Under Master Data view, select Resources sub-view.
3. In the drop-down, select All Resources.
4. Search for Resource ID XYZ.
5. Click in Edit and go to Valuation tab.
6. Valid From: 01.09.2025 - Valid To: Unlimited.

When analysing the Sales Order ABC, the Requested Date under the General tab is e.g. 30.05.2025 which is outside of the validity period of the Resource ID XYZ. The system is unable to determine Labour Resource XYZ in the Sales Order document.

In order to resolve the issue, choose one of the following options:

• Change the Requested Date to a date within the validity period, e.g. 02.09.2025.
• Change the validity period to a date that englobes the Requested Date.
