3654693 - Images Not Saved in Comment Box in Performance Forms

When users insert an image or hyperlink into the standard comment box using RTE (Rich Text Editor) in a performance form, the image disappears after saving or progressing to the next step.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

• Open a performance form.
• Paste or insert an image into the comment box or text area field using a source URL.
• Save the form or send it to the next step.
• Reopen the form or access it from the next step — the image is no longer visible.

This behavior is aligned with the current system design and is considered expected.

The system does not currently support saving images within Rich Text Editor (RTE) fields in performance forms. When users insert images into comment boxes, those images are not retained after saving the form or progressing to the next workflow step.

NOTE: The “Insert Image” icon in the RTE toolbar is planned to be removed in the 1H 2026 release to ensure consistency with the legacy form detail page behavior.
