3654852 - Error "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'getName')" when loading a story in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • Story saving keeps loading indefinitely in SAC.
  • The below error is displayed:
    "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'getName')"

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login into SAC.
  2. Open the story in issue.
  3. Change anything and click on save
    >> Error "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'getName')" appear and story keeps loading without saving.

Cause

Due to broken model without measure dimension, that has been used in Story table.

Resolution

Removing the broken table allows the story to be saved.
