3654967 - Temporary Time Change Shows as "Approved" in View My Calendar UI Despite Pending Workflow

In the "View My Calendar" UI, the approval status for a temporary change in the work schedule is incorrectly displayed as "Approved", even though the workflow is still in a pending state.

Clicking the "View Approval Details" icon correctly shows that the request is still awaiting approval.

1. Navigate to the Home Page.

2. Open "View My Calendar" via the UI or by searching in the Action Search.

3. Click on Temporary Changes.

4. Observe the Approval Status displayed in the UI (shown as Approved).

5. Click "View Approval Details".

6. The status shown here is Pending.

7. Further confirmation can be obtained by checking the Workflow Approval page, which will also show the status as Pending.

• Working as Designed.
• The behavior is controlled by the configuration of the "Temporary Time Information" object, specifically the "Pending Data" setting.

  • If Pending Data is set to "No", any configured workflow will be ignored.

  • In this case, the record becomes active immediately upon creation, and the UI reflects it as "Approved" even though a workflow exists.

Note:

• If Pending Data is set to "No", the system treats the request as approved automatically, bypassing workflow logic.

To ensure that workflows are correctly applied and reflected in the UI:

1. Go to Configure Object Definitions.

2. Select the object "Temporary Time Information."

3. Locate the field "Pending Data" and set it to "Yes."

4. Save the changes.

This will ensure that temporary changes are not treated as approved until the associated workflow is completed.
