Symptom

  • In a custom SAP Fiori application, the sap.ui.model.type.Float control is used to restrict user input to numerical values.
  • The formatOptions configuration affects only the displayed value in the UI but does not modify the bound value in the model.
  • The value shown to the user is inconsistent with the value sent to the backend.
  • Example: The value displayed in the UI is "2", while the value sent to the backend is "1.5".
