Symptom
Unable to change the Background Color when using the appearance themes Quartz Light, Quartz Dark, High-Contrast, and High-Contrast.
No error message is displayed during the process, but the color does not change properly.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign.
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Appearance tab in the user settings.
- Select one of the following themes: Quartz Light, Quartz Dark, High-Contrast, or High-Contrast (Accessibility Compliant).
- Start the Key User Adaptation Mode.
- Go to the My Launchpad view.
- Right-click on the Background Design.
- Attempt to change the background color by entering a new hex or RGB code.
- Observe that the background does not change.
Cause
- The Quartz themes are designed with a fixed layout and limited customization options to maintain a consistent user interface.
- High-Contrast themes have fixed background colors to comply with Accessibility Standards.
Resolution
These design restrictions are intentional and part of the standard system behavior.
