3655485 - How to Set Up Batch Derivation in SAP S/4 HANA Cloud

You need to use batch derivation to transfer batch master data and classification data from component batches to produced batches.

Prerequisite

• Create batch management material
  
  At least finished and raw materials with MRP views and the work scheduling view.

• Create BOM and routing/master recipe for the finished material

• Several batches are created and classified for the raw materials

• Batches have enough stock

• Derivation events have been defined (Configuration Activity 103728: Define Derivation Events)

Configuration Setup

1. Define strategy type and the combination for Sending Batches (Configuration Activity 103734: Define Strategy Types to Determine Sending Batches)

2. Set up the sender derivation strategy (App: Manage Derivation Strategies – Sender)

3. Define strategy type and the combination for Receiving Batches (Configuration Activity 103733: Define Strategy Types to Determine Receiving Batches)

4. Set up the receiver derivation strategy (App: Manage Derivation Strategies – Receiver)
