3655502 - Approval rules not triggering in quote 2.0 - SAP CPQ

• Approval rules are not triggering when conditions are violated in the quote.
• The formula validator in the quote shows blank results for custom field values.

SAP Sales Cloud CPQ

1. Go to any Quote in CPQ.
2. Violate the desired rule by entering necessary custom field values.
3. Observe that no approval rule is triggered in the quote.

This issue can happen if the CPQ environment is on Quote 2.0 engine and the CTX tags that are only available in the Quote 1.0 engine are being used.

• Replace tags specific to Quote 1.0 with those compatible with Quote 2.0. For example:
  Replace '<*CTX(Quote.Status.Name)*>' (Quote 1.0) with '<*CTX(Quote.StatusName)*>' (Quote 2.0).
• Use the formula builder to create approval rules instead of copying tags from other tenants which could be on a different engine.
