3655589 - Manage Service Entry Sheets App: Performance Period cannot be adjusted beyond PO range

Symptom

When creating a service entry sheet, the performance period is locked to the one defined in the purchase order (PO), which prevents entering the actual service completion date when the supplier finishes later than planned.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Purchase Order with Performance Period e.g. 21.08.2025 to 25.08.2025
  2. Launch the "Manage Service Entry Sheets – Lean Services" App
  3. Fill in the General Information 
  4. Select the Service Item from the PO 
  5. Access the Item Details Screen 
  6. Attempt to Change the Performance Period to e.g. 27.08.2025

Cause

The system is designed to restrict the performance period to the range defined in the PO. This is a system limitation.

Resolution

By default, it is not possible to enter a performance period outside the PO's defined range. The calendar only allows dates within that range. 

Possible workaround: 

  • Update the performance period in the PO whenever the supplier's delivery is late.

  • Then proceed with the service entry sheet creation.
