Symptom

Users are redirected to the first page of the story when clicking comment notification links in email, instead of being taken directly to the specific page where the comment was posted in SAC.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.14.12 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC 
  2. Open the story 
  3. Navigate to Page 2 of the story
  4. Add the comment to any chart on the page 2 by tagging the other user 
  5. Verify that the tagged user receives an email notification with a link to the story
  6. The tagged user clicks the link in the email to open the story.

Notice: Upon clicking a comment notification email link, the story loads on Page 1 (default) instead of the intended page where the comment was added. 

Cause

This is by design behavior of the product.

Resolution
