3655938 - Candidate Profile History contains Background Dummy records for converted candidates - Recruiting Management

When checking the candidate audit page of candidates who have been converted from external to internal candidates, there are some records containing dummy details.

The label is "Background: DUMMY:[CandidateID]" and the values are 0 or 0.0.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Navigate to Recruiting > Candidates and open the profile of a candidate who has been converted from an external to an internal candidate.
2. Click on the History button.
3. Check the audit records for the presence of background dummy records.

Background elements previously configured have been removed from the template.

The dummy records appearing in the audit during the conversion process are expected behavior, as confirmed by our Engineering team.

The logic is that when a background field is removed from the template, this is how it is audited during the conversion process. Despite the presence of these records, there are no actual dummy values in the background data.
