3656041 - User is Unable to Create Shopping Carts With Reference to Project That Belongs to Different Company

User is unable to raise a shopping cart for particular projects that belong to a different company entity.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Home work center
2. Select Self Services Overview
3. Choose Create Shopping Cart (Advanced)
4. Select Account Assignment Type as "Project Task"
5. Use the value help to select a project task
6. Observe that the system does not display projects belonging to the specific Company

The system filters the project tasks based on the employee's company by default. In this case, the employee's company is A, and the system does not display projects belonging to B. Intercompany shopping cart scenarios are not supported, and postings are restricted when the project company differs from the employee's company.

If the user needs to view projects belonging to Company A, user can navigate to the advanced filter and remove the default company from the filter. And now system will display projects and cost centers for Company B.

Note: If the user selects projects belonging to Company B, the system will display an error message:

• "Postings not permitted; company B differs from project company A."
• "Intercompany posting not allowed; cost center belongs to a different company."

Hence it is not possible to select the projects that belongs to another company while creating shopping cart document.
