3656171 - Unable to update Trusted IDP certificate in Datasphere

Symptom

When adding Signing Certificate in Trusted Identity Provider, the following error occurs:

"Please provide a valid signing certificate"

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Reproducing the Issue

  1. System -> Administration
  2. App Integration -> Trusted Identity Provider

Cause

The certificate validity period has expired.

Resolution

To determine whether the certificate has expired, perform the following steps:

  1. Copy the complete X509Certificate from the metadata to NotePad.
  2. Save it.
  3. Change the file format from txt to cer.
  4. Double-click this file to check the validity 

If this file is not within the validity period, please change to the metadata with a valid `X509Certificate`
