• The requirement is to retrieve the status of open financial posting periods in the system using a CDS view or API.
• Existing CDS views such as C_PostingPeriod and I_OpenPostingPeriod appear to contain the required information but are not released.
• Is there an API or CDS view available to get the FI Posting Period information. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Attempt to retrieve the status of open financial posting periods using the CDS views C_PostingPeriod and I_OpenPostingPeriod.
2. Observe that these CDS views are not released and cannot be utilized.

The functionality to retrieve open financial posting period information through CDS views or APIs is not available in the standard system configuration. Missing Functionality.
