3657144 - error "parentid_not_exists" encountered during hierarchy import from sap s/4hana to sap analytics cloud

Error message encountered during hierarchy import: "EPM_SERVICE : {"packageId":"sap.fpa.services.resource.dm","objectName":"message_dm","messageId":null,"args":[],"message":"An unexpected error occurred while trying to update the dimension data.","previous":{"packageId":"sap.fpa.services.resource.modeling","objectName":"message_hierarchy","messageId":"PARENTID_NOT_EXISTS","args":[],"memberRelation":"INDEPENDENT"},"bUIMessage":false,"bWarning":false,"status":500}"

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.14.12 

1. Access SAP Analytics Cloud tenant.
2. Navigate to the model.
3. In Data Management, click "Import Data from Data Source" and choose "SAP S/4HANA".
4. Select connection and search for the table under the correct Node.
5. Select the nodes and filter and proceed to create the import job.
6. In line 50, observe the Par. Node () and select Par. Node for Margin Analysis.
7. Click "Finish Mapping".
8. Attempt to refresh the import job and observe the error message: "Couldn't refresh the data. Correlation ID: xxxxxxx".
9. Review the Data Timeline and confirm the import job failure with error message: "An unexpected error occurred while trying to update the dimension data."

The issue is on the hierarchy.

All these members have parents, which are not in the same hierarchy.

The solution is manually add missing data in the hierarchy to make it consistent or upload the correct structure of the hierarchy without missing parent nodes.
