Symptom
During failover in a HADR system, sap_host_available failed but with no details error message and corrective actions reported in SRS error log, which is difficult to troubleshoot.
SRS log just reports the failure and it doesn't report which operation failed.
SRS log:
User 'DR_admin' writes: '*******************************************************************************'
User 'DR_admin' writes: '** HADR operation: sap_host_available <db_name>,'
User 'DR_admin' writes: '** Message: failed'
User 'DR_admin' writes: '*******************************************************************************'
But in RMA log it gives more details and provides the corrective suggestion:
RMA log:
[INFO ] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - Task Name - Resume Route
[INFO ] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - Provided corrective suggestion - Use ISQL to connect to the Replication Server '<SID>_REP_SiteB and re-issue the resume route command.
[INFO ] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - Action - Purge 'outbound' Replication data for server '<SID>_SiteA_R2.<db_name>'.
[INFO ] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - Action - Waiting 10 seconds: Waiting 10 seconds before checking if the command executed successfully.
[INFO ] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - State - Error
[INFO ] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - State - Error
[ERROR] [Thread-552:609][RMA] - [HostAvailable ] - Task HostAvailable - Failed with error message - The route from Replication Server '<SID>_REP_SiteB' to Replication Server '<SID>_REP_SiteA' failed to become active.
Can this be improved so that the error message and corrective suggestion are not only shown in RMA log? Can this message be added in SRS log?
