Symptom
In Software Update Manager (SUM), the automatic batch job distribution option was selected. If the batch job is executed on an instance that is not the SUM host and does not have access to the upgrade directory, the corresponding phase will fail.
Example:
|
Batch Host Configuration Select the instance of your system that shall be used as background server: *Note:* 01) * The system decides using automatic batch job distribution. |
The job was started on the <host2>_<SID>_XX instance:
| Job Ln Job CreatedB Status Start date Start time End date End time Duration(sec Executing server RSTODIRM DDIC Finished YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss nnn <host2>_<SID>_XX |
The job log contains multiple entries similar to the following:
| YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss No such file or directory 00 001 S |
/usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap is not accessible from <host2>:
| DIR_PUT /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap Wrong order of calls <- CALL opendir: No such file or directory(,,..) |
