Symptom
When printing a user profile from the legacy profile interface, the print preview pop-up is unintentionally included in the printed output and PDF download, partially obscuring the first page.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Legacy People Profile.
- Click Actions > Print/PDF.
- In the dialog, select Print Entire Page, then click Preview.
- Confirm that the print preview appears correctly.
- Click Print.
- Observe that the print preview overlay remains visible during the printing process.
- Attempt to download the PDF.
- Notice that the print preview overlay covers approximately half of the first page in the downloaded PDF.
Cause
This issue only happens in a very specific situation: when a certain helper tool is active on the page, it changes how the print preview behaves. Because of this, the preview pop-up doesn’t close properly when printing or downloading a PDF, and ends up being included in the final output.
Resolution
The Engineering team have confirmed that the issue will be fixed in M2509p5
