3657700 - On-prem extractor log pi-etl-adapter.log has OnOutOfMemoryError

Symptom

Following error is observed in the log file `pi-etl-adapter.log` generated by the on-premises extractor.
-XX:MetaspaceSize=128m -XX:MaxMetaspaceSize=1024m -XX:+ExitOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:+CrashOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -XX

Environment

  • On-premises extractor

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Execute data extraction using the on-premises extractor.
  2. Monitor the log file `pi-etl-adapter.log` for occurrences of following error:
    -XX:MetaspaceSize=128m -XX:MaxMetaspaceSize=1024m -XX:+ExitOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:+CrashOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -XX

Resolution

Check the script: start.sh within the On-premises extractor. There may be an existing configuration.
