Symptom
For the employees who have returned from Leave of Absence (LOA) still show an Expected Return Date in the report. Ideally when a return to work event is created, system should automatically delete the expected return date from Job Information.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time off
Reproducing the Issue
- Make sure the Return to Work event is updated in Job Information.
- Create a report by selecting the field expected return date from Job Information.
- The value is still displaying even though the employee is returned from leave of absence.
Cause
- The scenario is due to the forward propagation in Job Information.
- When there is a future-dated event and when an LOA is created, the value for the Expected Return Date propagates to future records.
- When the LOA is canceled or a return-to-work event reason is created, the Expected Return Date from the future dated record is not deleted and remains saved in the backend.
Resolution
- Export the Job Info records from reporting (Person and Employment Export) to verify the data in the records.
- Perform an import to delete the Expected Return Date field from the Return to Work event and other data change events.
