3657753 - Error message QD 240 "The control chart in the sampling method does not match the insp. char." occurs when migrating inspection plan into the system

Symptom

When migrating inspection plan in Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit app, after simulation, error "The control chart in the sampling method does not match the insp. char. (Message ID. QD 240) occurs.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to "Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit app.
  2. Select the migration project and the migration object "QM - Inspection plan".
  3. Execute the simulation, error message QD 240 occurs.

    Cause

    The error occurs because the control indicators in the migration template file do not align with the requirements profile of the control chart type used in the sampling procedure. System expects the relevant control indicators to be compliant with the control chart for the SPC relevant characteristics.

    For example, in the uploaded migration template file, the "Measured Values Is Recorded (MESSWERTE)" field is empty. However, for control chart type 410, the indicator "Record Measured Vals" is active. Therefore, if control chart type 410 is used in the sampling procedure of the characteristic, then data in the migration template file and the control chart type will be inconsistent. As a result, error message QD 240 is raised. 

    Resolution

    The requirements profile of the control chart type cannot be configured in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Below are the required indicator values for some frequently-used control chart types. Ensure that they are consistent with the values in the migration file.

    • For Control Chart Type 410 (Acceptance chart for x-bar / s), indicators "Record Measured Vals", "Upper Specif. Limit", "Lower Specif. Limit", "Fixed Scope" are active, which means measured values must be recorded, upper and lower specification limit must be entered for the inspection characteristic and inspection scope must be adhered To.
    • For Control Chart Type 215 (Shewhart chart for x-bar / s / USA), indicators "Record Measured Vals", "Fixed Scope" are active. 
    • For Control Chart Type 110 (Shewhart chart for x-bar), indicators "Record Measured Vals", "Fixed Scope" are active. 
    • For Control Chart Type 530 (EWMA-chart), indicators "Record Measured Vals", "Fixed Scope" are active. 

     If the control chart types used are not listed above, raise a case in QM-PT-IP-2CL component to SAP Support for more information.
