3658080 - Base Layer in story Geo Map would not load when accessing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) from China

• Base Layer in story Geo Map would not load when accessing this SAC system from China
• Error message "Failed to load response data" would appear in the Response of Request URL 
  https://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer?f=json 

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.14.12

1. Log onto SAC
   => Please make sure to access this SAC system from China
2. Create an optimized story based on below steps
3. Insert a Geo Map into this story
4. Click on this Geo Map and open the Geo Map Builder panel
5. On this Geo Map Builder panel, navigate to the Base Layer Style under Base Layer section and change the Base Layer Style as "Satellite" since this is the only supported Base Layer Style when accessing this SAC system from China
6. Go back to the Geo Map in this story
   => Observe that this "Satellite" Base Layer would not appear on this Geo Map and it would show as blank Base Layer

Due to the current unavailability of regulatory-compliant base maps, this functionality is not available in China.

For customers within China there is no valid workaround and they will no longer be able to use base layer in SAC Geo Maps.
