Symptom
When a user, who is part of a user group with reserved seats, attempts to enroll in the scheduled program, an error occurs stating, "The following class(s) have reached maximum registration XXXXX".
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Create an Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and schedule a class.
- Reserve the maximum seats by adding a user group or organization.
- Create a scheduled program and associate the ILT item/class with the program.
- Add the program to the user's access library.
- As a user, attempt to enroll in the program via the library.
- Observe the error message: "The following class(s) have reached maximum registration XXXXX."
Cause
This behavior is identified as expected for scheduled-type programs.
Resolution
The seat reservations for user groups or organization as part of scheduled programs are currently not supported, and was not available in prior releases either. This behavior is working as designed. Should future enhancements related to this feature and setting be introduced, they will be documented upon release.
In the meantime, here are some alternative solutions you can consider:
- Instead of using seat reservations, you can make the program available in the library so that users can search for it and enroll themselves.
- If you are reserving the maximum number of seats for a group of users or organization, the admin will need to manually enroll the users into the class, and the program will need to be assigned manually.
