3658250 - Default Values Not Displayed for User Input Filters When Previewing Custom Queries in Custom Analytical Queries App

Symptom

When previewing a custom query in the 'Custom Analytical Queries' app, the default values list for user input filters in the filter section is empty.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

Value help, display properties, texts, and hierarchies in the Custom Analytical Queries app are only available when a 'Master Data View' is maintained in the 'Custom CDS Views' app.

Resolution

The data source of the custom analytical query (Custom CDS View) containing the field must define a 'Master Data View' for that field in the Custom CDS Views app.

Steps to follow:

  1. Open 'Custom CDS Views' app.
  2. Select the CDS view used as the data source for custom analytical query.
  3. In the 'Element Properties' step, assign the 'Master Data View' to the specific field.
  4. Save and publish the CDS view.
