3658402 - Programs search results show IDs instead of titles in SAP SuccessFactors Learning

When searching for programs in the new learning experience library, users see Program IDs displayed instead of program titles in the search results. 

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Access the SuccessFactors system.
2. Navigate to the Learning module (New Learning Experience).
3. Browse the library and select "Programs" or search for a program using its ID
4. Observe that the search results display the Program ID instead of the title.

• The issue occurs when the user's locale is set to English, while the system locale is set to another language, such as German. 
• The program title is maintained only in the German locale, while descriptions are populated for English, French, and German.
• The system identifies the program as available in three locales and attempts to display the result in the user's locale. Since no title is available in English, the system displays the Program ID along with the English description. 

To resolve the issue, you can choose one of the following actions:

1.  Remove the descriptions for the non-German locales. This will ensure the system recognizes the program as available only in the German locale. As a result, the program will display the German title and description in search results. Currently, the descriptions for French and English are causing the system to treat the item as available in three locales, leading to the mismatch. 

2. Add titles to the English and French locales. If titles are added for English and French, the system will display the program based on the user's locale. 

• If the user's locale is English, the program will appear with the English title and description. 
• If the user's locale is French, the program will appear with the French title and description.

Future Improvements: 

We are actively working to enhance the fallback rules to include the system locale in future updates, which will help prevent similar issues.
