Symptom

  • Warning messages differ between SAP GUI and Asset Information Workbench (AIW) when setting a functional location to DLFL (Deletion Flag) status.
  • In SAP GUI (Transaction IL02), the warning message is: "Equipment 100000005604 is still installed at location CA.GBPL.GPRP.GCS-CS01-LB."
  • In Asset Information Workbench, the warning message is: "Equipment 000000100000005604 is still installed at location ?0100000000000003759."
  • The equipment number in AIW is padded with leading zeros, which is inconsistent but acceptable.
  • The functional location in AIW is displayed using an internal technical key (e.g., ?0100000000000003759) instead of the meaningful functional location code.
  • This inconsistency creates confusion for users working with large and complex functional location hierarchies.
