Symptom
Holidays are not marked on the calendar when editing the time sheet. Employees are unable to view general public holidays in their personal calendars.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Project Management Work Center or Project Team Work Center.
- Select Edit Time Sheet from the common task.
- View the general calendar by month, where General Public holidays are not marked.
Cause
- The question "Do you define work schedules which can be reused for several employees?" is not scoped in Work Schedules Under Time and Labor Management in BC questions.
The Reusable Work Schedules option is useful if several employees in your company follow the same pattern of planned working times. Instead of creating individual schedules, you can define one standard pattern and assign it to multiple employees. These patterns are built using daily models (a single workday), period models (a sequence of working and non-working days), and schedule models (a full calendar starting on a fixed day).
Resolution
- Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
- Select the Implementation Project View.
- Choose the First Implementation and choose Edit Project Scope.
- Go to the Questions tab.
- Expand Human Resources and then expand Time and Labor Management.
- Select Work Schedules.
- Enable the scoping question “Do you define work schedules which can be reused for several employees?”.
- Save and finish the scoping.
After activation, reusable work schedules will be available, and general holidays from the holiday calendar will be visible in the employee calendar.
