3658544 - HANA upgrade failed with ERR : Killing process failed: Timer expired

Symptom

The upgrade of HANA DB failed, in the hdbupd.log file, there is the following error message:

11:40:23.136 - INFO: Check for runnning hdbnsutil process...
11:41:33.005 - ERR : Killing process '' (pid = 12345) failed: Timer expired
11:41:33.005 - ERR : error upgrading
11:41:33.005 - ERR : Upgrade failed
11:41:33.069 - INFO: Wrote 2123542 bytes
