Symptom

The quick filter from the catalog gets duplicated after importing the package file via the Content Network in SAC

Environment

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2025.14.4

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to source SAC
  2. Create a package containing the desired stories.
  3. Export the package, selecting the option “Don’t overwrite objects or data.”
  4. Log in to destination SAC tenant.
  5. Import the downloaded package.

Notice: The quick filters are duplicated in the catalog section

Cause

  • In SAC, each quick filter is identified by a unique ID, not by its name. While the UI prevents creating quick filters with the same name, the import process does not as same quick filter already exist in destination SAC.
  • This design leads to have two quick filters with the same name after importing.

Resolution

Remove the duplicate quick filters from the destination SAC before importing the package file.
