3658813 - Application error when viewing Compensation Information History without 'View History' permission - Employee Central

Symptom

An application error occurs when attempting to view Compensation Information history without necessary permissions.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Employee Profile.
  2. Attempt to view Compensation Information > History.
  3. An application error is displayed with customer's unique finger print.

Cause

  • The user lacks View History permission for Field A.
  • Field A is the parent field for Field B.

Resolution

Grant the View History permission for Field A as per SAP Guide below. Once applied, users will be able to view the Compensation Information history without encountering the application error.
