3658849 - ERROR #6040: Inconsistent Segments After Server Crash - SAP SRS

Symptom

  • A server crash resulted in corrupted segments in the SRS system.
  • A restart was required to restore the connections, but the outbound queue continued to increase.
  • Error 6040 was encountered when issuing the following commands:
    • sysadmin log_first_tran
    • sysadmin dump_queue
  • Error 6040 in the SRS error log:

E. 2025/09/15 16:59:13. ERROR #6040 USER(<user>) - <sqm_path>(XxxX)
    Stable queue 'XXX:x' has a block =XXXXXXXX:x whereas block='XXXXXXXX:x.
