Symptom
- In rare cases, a user task in SAP ASE may enter an indefinite sleep state as PLC sleep during a BULK INSERT operation.
- When this occurs, the task may leave a transaction open in the target database. This open transaction can eventually cause the database log to fill up, resulting in a 1105 error.
- This issue is observed when the "user log cache queue size" configuration parameter is set to 0.
- If you run dbcc stacktrace on the affected user task, the output will show:
upsleepgeneric
plc__lock
xls_pre_alloc_numclrs
