3658889 - How to embed font in custom form templates in S/4 HANA Cloud

Symptom

Custom fonts are used in the layout of custom forms. There is a requirement to embed these custom fonts in the PDF output.

S/4 HANA Public Cloud

Cause

From S/4 HANA Cloud release 2105 we offered the feature to embed fonts in the 'Maintain Form Templates' App.

Resolution

For the use of custom fonts in the form output, the corresponding custom fonts must be uploaded to the Adobe Document Services (ADS) using the 'Adobe Document Services Configuration' app.
For the development of custom form layouts, the corresponding custom fonts must be installed on the same Windows PC where Adobe LiveCycle Designer is installed.
To embed the custom fonts in the PDF output, select the option 'Embed Fonts in PDF' in the corresponding custom form in app 'Maintain Form Templates'.
