3659005 - SAP Cloud Connector Error: Invalid proxy response status: 501 Not Implemented

Symptom

  1. An error message displayed on the SAP Business Application Studio: "Failed to fetch system information. Reason: Request failed with status code 503." or “The server returned an error. Request failed with status code 503". 

  2. Following error has been observed in the Cloud Connector logs:
    • #ERROR#com.sap.core.connectivity.tunnel.core.handlers.TunnelClientErrorHandler#tunnel-client-67-7#          #Unexpected problem during tunnel processing in channel [id: 0x12345678, L:/<local_IP>:<local_port> ! R:<remote_host>/<remote_ip>:<remote_port>]
      com.sap.core.connectivity.tunnel.core.handshake.TunnelHandshakeException: Invalid proxy response status: 501 Not Implemented
