3659594 - Missing app Find Maintenance Notification(F2071) despite scope items 4HI and 4HH are activated in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • App Find Maintenance Notification(F2071) is not available in the system despite the activation of scope items 4HI and 4HH.
  • Business catalogs SAP_EAM_BC_NTF_MC and SAP_EAM_BC_NTF_MW_MC are not found in the system.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Activate scope items 4HI and 4HH in the system.
  2. Try to assign business catalogs SAP_EAM_BC_NTF_MC and SAP_EAM_BC_NTF_MW_MC to business role but these two catalogs not found in the system.
  3. Try to search for app Find Maintenance Notification and app not found.

Cause

The business catalogs SAP_EAM_BC_NTF_MC and SAP_EAM_BC_NTF_MW_MC which are required for app Find Maintenance Notification have been deprecated due to the dependent scope items BH1, BH2, and BJ2 deprecated as described in KBA 3385327. Therefore, app Find Maintenance Notification is no long available in the system.

Resolution

Use the new version application Manage Maintenance Notifications instead. Refer to below documentations for more details of the app:

To be able to access the app, ensure that the business catalog SAP_EAM_BC_MN_MNG_PC is assigned to user's custom business role or assign the business role SAP_BR_MAINT_SUPERVISOR to user.
