3660024 - Data Transfer Tool Field Name Fails to Reflect User Login Language

When the user logs in with English as the system language, some field names in the Data Transfer Tool still appear in other languages, even though translations are already maintained in the system.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Log in to the C4C system with English as the login language.
2. Open the Data Transfer Tool.
3. Select Business Partner.
4. Check the list of available fields.
5. Notice that some field names are displayed in Spanish, even though the user is logged in with English.
6. Click on the field name link → the field definition screen opens.
7. Verify that the translation for English is already maintained, but the Data Transfer Tool still displays the field name in Spanish.

When a custom field is created in the backend, the system stores its original label in the language used at the time of creation (for example, Spanish). By design, the Data Transfer Tool retrieves the field name directly from the backend definition. Therefore, if the field’s master language is Spanish, the tool will display the Spanish label by default, regardless of the login language, even when translations are maintained for other languages.

This is the system behavior by default. The Data Transfer Tool retrieves field labels from the backend in the original language used when the field was created.
