3660026 - Duplicated Applications for Same Candidate in Job Requisition - Recruiting Management

A candidate has duplicate applications in the requisition, both with the same Application ID and Candidate ID. This candidate has been previously forwarded and merged as duplicate.

This is an intermittent issue that can happen to a small subset of applications like agency forwarded or referred applications with merged candidate profiles.

This issue is happening due to the current limitations in the behavior of the Candidate Merge and Job_Req_Id search functionalities in the Legacy Workbench.

Engineering has confirmed that this issue is not happening in the New Candidate Workbench and that as of the moment, Recruiting will not be fixing this issue in the Legacy Workbench as it is deemed a code limitation in that version. 

Our recommendation moving forward is to switch to the New Candidate Workbench.

Note: This would not for all merged candidate profiles, only for those edge cases, like agency forwarded or referred applications with merged candidate profiles.
