3660127 - Error pops up when correcting hire date via hire date correction tool

When attempting to correct hire date via hire date correction tool and click on save, error pops up. The error message is "cannot invoke "String.equals(Object)" because the return value of "com.successfactors.hris.api.bean.eo.IEmpEmploymentInfoEO.getAssignmentType()" is null".

The user has a concurrent assignment which has been soft purged and its assignment type is null.

Perform hard purge for the assignment without assignment id.
