3660301 - The PickAndBatchSplitOneItem service operation doesn't create a batch split item - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Unable to use the PickAndBatchSplitOneItem service operation to create a batch split item with the same delivery quantity as the main item.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

  • If the SplitQuantity is less than the delivery item's current ActualDeliveryQuantity, a batch split will be performed.
  • If the SplitQuantity is equal to the delivery item's current ActualDeliveryQuantity, a batch split will not be performed, as it does not make sense to replace the main item with the sub item.

Resolution

Use the CreateBatchSplitItem service operation to create a batch split item with the same delivery quantity as the main item.
