Symptom
- The navigation menu text on the RCM External Career Site is presented in all capital letters, even though the original label is not.
- Is it possible to change the text formatting so that only the initial letter of each word is capitalized?
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to the RCM External Career Site.
- Observe that the navigation menu text defaults to all capital letters.
Cause
The navigation menu text is converted to all capital letters by the CSS code 'text-transform: uppercase' of the web site.
The CSS code 'text-transform: uppercase' is applied at the browser rendering level, so even if lowercase text is entered, it will be displayed as uppercase when that CSS rule is active.
Resolution
The navigation menu text is designed to default to all caps. Modifying this behavior is not supported.
