3660744 - Duplicate framework calls causing performance issues in SAP Fiori launchpad

Symptom

SAP Fiori Launchpad has performance issues due to duplicate standard framework calls, both cached and uncached. Duplicate calls include, but are not limited to: favicon requests, notification channel requests, personalization container calls, and app diagnostics-related calls.

Example of duplicate requests: 

  • /sap/public/bc/themes/.../img/misc/sapShell_Favicon.ico
  • /sap/bc/ui2/start_up
  • /sap/opu/odata4/iwngw/notification/default/iwngw/notification_srv/0001/Channels(ChannelId='SAP_SMP')
  • /sap/opu/odata4/iwngw/notification/default/iwngw/notification_srv/0001/Channels(ChannelId='SAP_EMAIL')
  • /sap/opu/odata4/iwngw/notification/default/iwngw/notification_srv/0001/NotificationTypePersonalizationSet
