Symptom

Error message "Multiple mappings exist for Internal Value Customer. Select a default outbound mapping." When trying to update the Partner Number Type Value mapping 

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to "Settings".
  2. Go to "All Settings" tab.
  3. Under Integration tab, go to "Value Mapping".
  4. Add Multiple value mappings for Partner Number Type
  5. See error "Multiple mappings exist for Internal Value Customer. Select a default outbound mapping." When trying to update the Partner Number Type mapping 

Cause

Missing defaults for the value mapping

Resolution

  1. Set the outbound defaults for mapping

As this mapping is not used outbound, any record can be selected without affecting your outbound integrations
