3661053 - Error message 'FINS_MIG_HIST_BAL ' is displayed while migration of FI - Historical Balance in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

While performing the migration of FI - historical balance object the following errors occur:

  • Error message: "Amount in Document Currency must be filled." - Message no. FINS_MIG_HIST_BAL 10. 
  • Error message: "Amount in Local Currency must be filled." - Message no. FINS_MIG_HIST_BAL 11. 
  • Error message: "Amount in Group Currency must be filled." - Message no. FINS_MIG_HIST_BAL 12.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open App “Migrate your Data”.

  2. Go into the relevant migration project.

  3. Select the Migration object “FI - historical balance”.

  4. Perform the Simulation phase.

Cause

The issue occurs because the migration template includes a value of zero for the amount fields of "Transaction Currency," "Company Code Currency," or "Group Currency". 

Resolution

  1. Open the migration template file used for the FI-Historical Balances migration.
  2. Identify and remove any lines where the value fields of "Transaction Currency," "Company Code Currency," or "Group Currency" contain zero values.
  3. Save the updated migration template file.
  4. Reattempt the migration process using the corrected template.
