Symptom

Unable to view historical User Activity data beyond quarter in SAC_STATISTICS_MDS_QUERY_PERF model in SAC

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC
  2. Open the SAC_STATISTICS_MDS_QUERY_PERF model.
  3. Create a Data Analyzer Insight or Story using the SAC_STATISTICS_MDS_QUERY_PERF model.
  4. Add "Calendar Time" to rows and "Total Count" to measures.

Notice: The report only displays data for the current quarter.

Cause

The SAC_STATISTICS_MDS_QUERY_PERF model retains only a fixed number of records (1,000,000). Once this limit is reached, the oldest records are deleted based on usage rather than time, restricting the data to the current quarter.

Resolution

Note that the SAC_STATISTICS_MDS_QUERY_PERF model is primarily designed for analyzing current performance issues and is not intended for long-term performance monitoring or trend analysis.

For long-term statistics, use the SAC_STATISTICS_AGGREGATED and SAC_ACTIONS_AGGREGATED models, which contain aggregated data with daily granularity and are suitable for trend analysis.
