Symptom
Reclassification of Receivables ABC finishes with errors: "Unexpected constellation detected in reclassification run"
(ABC stands for the Reclassification of Receivables ID)
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Receivables work center
- Open Reclassification of Receivables view.
- Open the log for Run ID ABC.
- Go to Messages tab.
- Errors are shown.
Cause
The error message "Unexpected constellation detected in reclassification run" occur due to various reasons.
One of the possible reasons is that for Company GHI and the given period, Reclassification of Receivables ABC was executed after Foreign Currency Remeasurement Run for Receivables DEF, whereas it should have been executed prior to the Foreign Currency Remeasurement Run.
(DEF stands for the Foreign Currency Remeasurement Run ID and GHI for the Company ID)
Resolution
It is advisable that the execution of the runs should be executed in the correct order: Reclassification first, then Foreign Currency.
Hence, it is recommended to first reverse the runs in the following order (newer to older):
> Reverse Reclassification of Receivables ABC.
> Reverse Foreign Currency Remeasurement of Receivables: DEF.
Then, for Company GHI and same period:
> Execute Reclassification of Receivables
> Execute Foreign Currency Remeasurement of Receivables
The runs should finish without further errors.
