3661229 - Sites Dropdown Not Loading in SmartEdit due to 502 Proxy Error and Pending Request

Symptom

  • An user is unable view the Sites dropdown in SmartEdit, because it is not loading.
  • In the browser console, the request to Backoffice endpoint ('https://backoffice-*******.com/cmswebservices/v1/sites') initially remains in a "pending" state and later returns a "502 Proxy Error". Aligning with the Proxy Error, the following exception is found in the logs:
    • AH00898: Error reading from remote server [...]
