3661281 - When Rescheduling after Canceling the First Interview, the Initial Scheduled Interview is Not Deleted from the Outlook Calendar - Recruiting Management

When rescheduling segmented interview slots after canceling the first interview, the initial scheduled interview is not deleted in the Outlook calendar, resulting in two scheduled interviews being displayed. This behavior causes confusion for interviewers as both time slots appear active in their calendars.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Schedule an interview for a candidate with two interviewers and include a 15-minute or 30-minute interval between the interviews.
2. Click "Book this slot for candidates" and send the schedule to the candidate. 
3. The candidate confirms the interview, and the schedule is reflected in the interviewers' Outlook calendars.
4. Reschedule the interview by selecting a new time slot for one or both interviewers, maintaining the interval. 
5. Accept the updated invite in Outlook.
6. Observe that the original interview schedule is not cancelled and remains in the calendar alongside the updated schedule.

Note:

• When the interview slot is not segmented the initial interview and removed in the Outlook calendar

• Here is a sample email notification where it shows the previous schedule was cancelled

This is a current limitation when rescheduling with segmented interview slots present.

This has been identified as a technical limitation and currently, there is no available fix or workaround.

To address the issue effectively, please ensure that any adjustments to the interview schedule are made prior to booking when utilizing segmented interview slots. If changes such as rescheduling are required after booking, the recommended approach is to delete the existing interview and create a new one. Alternatively, you can avoid this issue altogether by scheduling interviews using a single interview slot for the interviewees.

As this would require redefining the existing architecture and implementing enhancements to support various rescheduling scenarios which must be done through a product development activity, we recommend submitting an enhancement request for the Product team and developers to evaluate this feature for potential inclusion in future releases.
