3661521 - Unable to set posting date in run revenue recognition-service documents apps

Symptom

  • Unable to set the posting date in the "Run Revenue Recognition-Service Documents" application.
  • Posting date defaults to the end-of-month date instead of allowing selection of the current or previous day.
  • No option to choose the posting date when setting up batch jobs.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Execute either "Run Revenue Recognition-Projects" or "Run Revenue Recognition-Service Documents".
  2. Observe that there is no option to select the posting date to either today or the previous day.
  3. Attempt to set up batch jobs for daily revenue recognition posting; the system defaults to the end-of-month date.

Resolution

For period-end closing postings, the posting date must always correspond to the last day of the period.
This is a standard requirement to ensure accurate processing.
