While creating a characteristic with BAPI BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE, following error is written into the RETURN table:

QP538 - 'Check characteristic number &'

along with

CQCL103 - 'Consistency check when creating characteristic & was unsuccessful.'

and

BAPI001 - 'No instance of object type InspectionPlan has been created. External reference:'

Additionally, following message might appear:

CQCL012 - 'There is no valid inspection charac. & for specificied key date &'
